Why Equine Brand Registry (EBR)?

EBR helps to reunite owners and equines during thefts, losses, tornadoes, and wildfires.

With just one call notifying us of your missing equine and we will immediately spread the word, leaving you free to search the area.

So how does EBR help you find your lost or stolen horse?

As soon as you notify us of your missing equine, our EBR team immediately starts helping by notifying law enforcement, livestock auctions, veterinarians, social media groups, and rescues.  We also send you an email with a "lost/missing" poster that you can print to post in the area where your horse was last seen.  We will post your horse on our lost/missing equine pages.  Since we have pictures and your horse's identification, we can use them in the search preventing inaccurate descriptions during a stress filled time.  This leaves you free to search the area for your horse.

During natural disasters such as tornadoes and wildfires, equines get out and run loose or someone captures them with no way of knowing how to contact the owner.  The EBR team will check our records for registrants in the disaster area.  Authorities will be notified of any EBR registered equines helping them find the owners of any unclaimed equines.

Your EBR registration provides you with the following benefits:

  • Brand registration certificate showing proof of ownership of your equine.

  • Wallet size travel registration card.

  • Postings of your missing equine(s) on multiple media sites (i.e. Facebook, Craigslist, Twitter, etc).

  • Notification of your missing equine(s) to your local and state law enforcement, veterinary clinics, sale barns, and rescues.

  • Ready to print lost/reward flyers of your missing equine for quick distribution.  All postings and flyers will display the pictures and detailed description of your equine that you provided during registration.

  • EBR offers a reward of up to $2,500  for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person(s) stealing or killing your EBR registered horse.
